Hi- I became a staff cadet about 3 months ago and i really recomend it. It's great fun and rewarding if you put the effort in. Be warned though the job needs commitment. I was told that but it didn't bother me i knew i'd put the commitment in and i do. Everyone's reasonable though, if you can't make a day just say because they'll understand and the more staff cadets are then it won't be such a big kick in the teeth if one isn't there once in a while. You can do both days on a weekend f you've got the time once in a while and they go noticed. I'm still on my probationary period and i did a double in my half term ( by the way you get free accomadation and free cooked breakfast!!!!) and it got noticed I got quite a decent flight even though it was my 5th or 6th week. It's great. Adam L

Hi everyone, I know Nicks looking for staff cadets and I know a sergeant on my squadron-(a cadet sergeant not an adult sergeant) . He's got his solo wings in a vigilant and he's just got back from going solo in a cesner 152 and he wants to become a staff cadet at cosford. He says he doesen't mind which days but he'd prefer sundays. It's not a problem for him to get to cosford as he's just passed his driving test. He's a really nice bloke and he's from ostonia. I just thought i'd let u no cause nicks always sayin we need more staff cadets. Thanks, if u wanna contact him just grab me at sum stage or put a message back. Thanks Adam ;D ;D ;D

Like the normal family do. There's always one that drinks too much, you have to listen intently to your gran, and you see faces that have no names because you've forgotten who they were!

hey im Nkoni,
Im interested in gaining gliding experiance to become a CGI, my previous experiance includes gold wings standard from a gliding scholarship at 644 VGS a couple of years ago, roughly 16 hours in a tutor and 12 hours dual in a cessna-152 with solo local area sortie experiance.
Im at university and a part Bristol University Air Squadron however i haven’t been able to continue with any gliding as it’s not part of our flying syllabus and there aren't any VGS' close by enough to make becoming a staff cadet feasible. Is it still possible to go through the same training as CCF/ATC cadets do to reach CGI level?
thanks
