Hi everyone! I was taklking to lofty a while back and he said that we operate every weekend a year- providing it's not Christmas day. I looked at the dates on my calender and Christmas eve is a saturday as is new Years eve. I was just wondering if we would operate (weather permitting of course!!) on those dates. Thanks, Adam L

Guys: I'm contacting you via this method because messages to 'webmaster' or 'admin' bounce and there's no other obvious link for getting in touch. What a super site; very well done. One minor glitch I noticed yesterday is that there's no link from the message board back to the home page. Clicking on the 'back' link from a forum item takes you to the top of the board, not to the main site (if that makes sense). Apart from that, it works a treat. I also noticed that the message board doesn't allow you to register if your system rejects third-party cookies (why does the site try to set them, I wonder?). The error message it generates sugggests that the applicant is using the 'wrong form', whatever that means. You might want to look at what cookies it wants to set. As far as Christmas and the New Year are concerned, we're off for both. If someone reminds me, I'll ask JB to mention it at the brief next week. -- John Nelson Crew Green Consulting Ltd www.crew-green.com

hi john,
i've had a look at the cookies, and come to the conclusion that i really don't have a clue what i'm doing with them!!
i'll set you up an account here if you want and all you'll need to do is change your password to your own? in fact i'll do that anyway and give you the details on the weekend.
cheers, rob.

Many thanks. If you have a hidden page counter by the likes of StatCounter or something similar, it's probably trying to set a tracking cookie.
Nice site. I'm having a problem with avatars, however, but these never seem to work for me!
Forecast for the weekend looks good, although we may have a crosswind problem :-(

We do indeed use statcounter to keep a track of the stats and where people have visited us from.
Lets hope 18/36 is servicable.
See you all on sat

That will give some people problems with logging in. I see the message board itself also wants to set a cookie (proboard67) which will also cause a hiccup to folks with certain Internet Explorer privacy settings.

Hope you all had a good Christmas, and a Happy New Year to you all.
The VGS reopens again on 7th Jan for normal ops. Several staff members attended the VGS on the 31st Dec, hauled the aircraft from the hangar, and fired them up for a power check. All started ok, so hopefully there should be little or no problems tomorrow. See you then.

Easy, we've all been there, and done it before. We felt it was unfair to ask those who would have to travel long distances to attend when possibly the weather conditions may prevent us from achieving what we wished to do. As it is - we have five serviceable aircraft for you to fly tomorrow. ;D

I rather hope you are all up for death by powerpoint. Did the F700 convergence course this morning and guess what - its death by powerpoint mk9.
And we've got until the end of the month to get everyone on board - otherwise we don't fly!
Happy new year.

See leave it to SengO to give us a hard time. Cant wait - sounds like lots of fun. Also a probable cause of paperwork errors if we don't concentrate on the training. As an old Sarnt of mine used to say 'sit down, shut up and look in'

VGS's need more credit because it seems like a lot of work for people who don't even get paid.

I think it's good for the staff cadets cause we'll be as up to date as the officers, in all truthfulness i could only tell you what 1/3 rd of the old 700 was for. We're on level footing now which will help- provided we're gonna be in the briefings??
