Hi everyone, I meant to photocopy some FRC's today but i forgot which is typical of me I know everyone else knows these and u probably don't want to be bugged by me asking what they are as u all know them but I can't remember the rejoin checks. F- fuel? cock and pump R-radio? 375.87 E-engine? or electronics? P-propeller? in flying pitch? P-Parking brake? off (in) A- ?? T- Transponder? on stnad by C- H-Harness? Toight? Is this right?? I can't remeber A and C. I'd be grateful for any help and a slap so I remember to LAI-APT and PAT. Another thing with attitude, power, trim going from to the climb to datum It's attitude, CARB HEAT THEN power then trim right? And with power, attitude, trim you put the carb heat away then put full power on not the other way around?? I don't know how quick the carboretors heat up. I would be soooo grateful for any help. Thanks Adam L ;D ;D ;D

Fuel - ck on, pump on if eng on, contents chk. Radio - correct frequency... usually standard & vol set Engine - check instruments all indicating normal Park brake off Prop into climb pitch (or feathered if eng off) Altimeter set to QFE Transponder set to stand by Carb heat set to hot Harness tight and locked
hope that helps!

Just to add to what rob said...CFS told me last year that its an idea to check that the engine is still achieving full power when you check the prop pitch. Suppose to make sure power is there for a go-round but its quite sometime betwee the re-join check and a go-round situ but...better to be safe than sorry!
You might want to query that one though!

And the attitude thing...
When going from the climb to datum you select carb heat hot 100ft before you select the datum att...so if you want to 'level off' at 2500 ft you would select it at 2400ft for example. Then its Lookout APT.
When going from datum/glide to climb you check all your eng instruments indicate normal, check above and behind you in addition to normal lookout then select carb heat cold and then PAT.
Hope this clears it up any more questions just shout out!

Big Brother is watching :-)
Some interesting points relating to this area came out of the CFS visit. I'm sure the CFI will have something to say on the subject.

Or even better "Cosford Tower, ACW*** join **". Generally speaking, it's a good move to keep radio traffic as brief and succinct as possible.
If you like, we can have a canter through the standard RT procedures next time the weather's unsuitable for aviation.

I've landed myself in it there. I had an RT lecture a few weeks back with Chris Turener and I was fine with everything apart from the rejoin.

Oh and 1 more thing. When you've landed and you're off the runway what do you say over the radio. And do you have to ask permission to re-taxi just to go to LTF3 or do ask re-taxi if you park up do your pre-take off checks and then taxi. Thanks, Adam L

Hi Nick, just to let you know I can't make saturday as I have to go to wing headquaters because I'm taking a BTEC. I'm really sorry about this I promise you this is a one off and will NOT be a regular occurance, this does not affect my realiability i promise, and every single saturday and sunday I can possibly make I will, but with taking maths and physics A-levels I have a big work load, rob will tell you- he's beeen there.lol so sunday is spent working. I'm really sorry about this, and I think you know which i'd rather be doing. Leave a message back on here or text me so I know you've got it. Sorry again- Adam

I'm very dissapointed Adam. I thought more of you. I had to do some work on Saturday as a result. Only kiddin, no worries mate about saturday, it all happens to us sometimes, we are entitled to a life you know! As the CFI (Roberto Santrino) will tell you.
On the thing about bob woolly sortin your stuff out, he may have recieved your message as mine has been dealt with, but dont be expecting miracles. I'll give you my suite if all fails.
See you Friday Forrest
